Compensation: 130-140k + annual bonus


Responsibilities

Responsible for development, growth, and strategic direction of Mountain Valley Sales and broader Primo Water portfolio initiatives within the Natural Food Channel with a focus on Whole Foods and Sprouts. This role will be expected to achieve revenue and margin objectives with major retail accounts at the buying level, develop and execute effective and optimal wholesale and distributor programs at UNFI and KEHE, and work to elevate our customer engagement results through working with our broker relationships in support of our channel success. Responsible for creating, selling in and managing customer-specific joint business plans that meet and exceed both customer and company expectations.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute go to market retail strategy to achieve EBITDA expectations. Initiate and execute programs and promotions to exponentially grow Mountain Valley volume, revenue, and margins. Review business trends, pricing and protocol to increase incremental growth within the channel, based on market performance history and relevant data. Adjust strategy appropriately in the face of changing business climates. (Strategic and Vision)
  • Represent Primo (Mountain Valley) as the executive account contact with key HQ and field customers to develop and foster collaborative, financially sound working relationships. Deliver presentations and conduct strategy sessions to create annual operating plan for key customers. Create tools and scoreboards to measure and communicate results. Initiate course corrections as needed to achieve results. (Building Strong Relationships)
  • Leverages analytical tools (including customer-specific tools and data) to develop new department and category insights through the analysis of MAPS (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving) models. Strong communication skills and comfortable in a fact based 'selling' role interfacing with the customer. (Business Acumen)
  • Manage all aspects of the retail business including recommendations to facilitate national initiatives and growth. Create a results driven retail culture by encouraging creativity, innovation and "out of the box" thinking. Work in tandem with Primo (Mountain Valley) Support Quarters and local market leadership to maintain and achieve overall company goals. Manage customer administration including AP AR Forecasting and deduction management. (Administration).

Qualifications

  • College-B.A. Degree
  • Knowledge and experience working in the Natural Foods Channel
  • Knowledge and experience in the Packaged Beverage Industry
  • Analytical thinker with experience working with syndicated data, Customer POS, Etc...
  • Knowledge and experience in profit/loss management.
  • Proven track record which demonstrates ability to exceed goals in consumer products industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of product source via warehouse distribution and wholesaler/distributor models
  • Knowledge and experience in managing key HQ and field relationships, volume revenue and margin.
  • Proficient at achieving and exceeding organizational goals via individual contributions, internal and external communication, collaboration, measuring and sharing results. Ability to implement creativity and "out of the box' thinking with HQ and Field customer contacts.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships. Can maneuver through conflict, anticipates land mines adjusts approach to act appropriately.
  • Ability to analyze and utilize research data to create persuasive, creative fact-based selling presentations to key customers.
  • Computer competency to include; excel, power point, sales force, PowerBi. Use of these skills to develop internal and external presentations.
