What is the opportunity?

The Notification and Responses team is undertaking a complex initiative as part of RBC's ongoing plan to modernize our tech stack to deliver notifications to our Financial Advisors within the US Wealth Management organization.In this role you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing successful implementation of the above mentioned. The role will coordinate, lead, communicate, coach and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished according on time.

What will you do?

  • Set technical direction for all application intiatives ensring they adhere to the overall IT and business direction

  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate

  • Act as an expert consultant on technical and management direction for the Notifications and Responses workspace with a focus on cross-functional strategies

  • Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and evelopement to build the capabilities of the staff

  • Act as primarly IT liaison with multiple interfacing applciaoitns, IT executives and Project Managers

  • Lead complex meetings with cross functional teams for technical design, decision making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with people management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

  • Familiarity with automated testing technologies and an unified engineering model.

  • A strong understanding of Java, Kafka, and/or SQL.

  • Experience on large programs with multiple applications with multiple interfaces with 3rd party systems.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in Financial Services industries, specifically Wealth Management

  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers

  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
