We are looking for a dedicated Account & Billing Lead like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will do in this Role:

  • Perform all duties in accordance with established Patient Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • Conducs himself/herself in a manner that is conducive in a professional office environment.
  • Enter data accurately on returned mail, insurance EOBs/Remittances and as discovered through regulatory agency notification, HIS reports, and/or other department notification.
  • Avoid negative trends associated in the quality of work.
  • On a daily basis ensure duties within the department are completed.
  • Performance Expectations
  • Demonstrate courteous customer service.
  • Avoid negative trends associated with daily work completion.
  • Ensure that patient access information is being captured during the initial registration/admission.
  • Prepare the monthly schedule for Admissions.
  • Assist Director with other assigned duties/projects as requested.
  • Adhere to and avoids negative trends associated with the assigned work schedule established by the Director, to include prompt arrival/departure time and proper notification of employees' absences/tardies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain a working familiarity with Hospital wide safety plans and codes.
  • Demonstrate positive interactions.
  • Exhibit telephone professionalism.
  • Adhere to the company Dress Code policy.
  • Attend and participates in Business Office meetings and special hospital wide meetings in the absence of the Director.
  • Understand department functions.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of college preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience
  • Strong Medicare background - mimum of 2 years.
  • Strong hospital billing experience.
  • CDM and chargemaster knowledge
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (CPT/ICD9/HCPCS) and healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills

Your Shift: Full Time Days

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
