The Product Support Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating, locating, motivating, and developing the Product Support Sales team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Ensure continuous improvement of field operations in the areas of financial performance (cost control), customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, budget, forecast and execute sales activities that increases the percentage of Parts Sales, labor sales volume, parts sales volume, gross profit and promoting growth in percent of Industry New Sales. Be accountable for all the activities performed in the field by Field Service Supervisors and Field Technical Specialists, and Technology and Scheduling Manager.
  • Develop and implement appropriate product support marketing plans designed to increase customer awareness, identify new customers, enhance market penetration and increase Percentage of Parts Sales.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and problem resolution related to the commercial business.
  • Recommends strategic budgets to management.
  • Communicates with CAT and other dealers regarding product line and CAT initiated programs.
  • Monitor and utilize all CAT and other suppliers merchandising plans to combat competition and assist customers in owning and operating their CAT equipment in the lowest price/value relation.
  • Provides training to the sales representatives regarding selling skills/techniques, CAT product line, allied manufacturers and our competitors.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages and directly supervises multiple non-supervisory employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and / or 5 years industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broad understanding of policies, procedures, systems and customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, where limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to develop and apply a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and from multiple sources.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Basic math and reasoning skills.
  • Strong communication skills to read, write, and interpret communication in written, verbal, and diagram form for receiving and conveying information.
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
