Job Description

Candidates must be willing and able to work in the Lubbock, TX area.


Objective: Work from plans to build, assemble, fit together, align, plumb, and set in place forms for molding concrete structures. Fits together, aligns and sets to grade metal and wooden forms for placement for concrete paving and curbs.

Job Duties:

  1. Must be able to set forms to line and level, read and understand plans
  2. Work with survey crew to set stringline for paving, curb, and gutter
  3. Construct forms for the placement of concrete and structures
  4. Checks forms while concrete is being placed
  5. Assist and direct others in stripping forms after concrete is placed
  6. Install miscellaneous materials in erecting concrete structures
  7. Install pre-cast concrete elements
  8. Prepare for slip-forming traffic rails and median barriers
  9. Install permanent metal deck forms
  10. Work with hand tools and power tools
  11. Other unlisted duties will be required

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  2. 5 years of experience (road construction preferred)
  3. Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
  4. Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  5. Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
  6. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
  7. Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
