Job Description
Description

Want to make contributions that accelerate the readiness of our nation's defenses to support next generation hypersonic missile and reentry systems, as well as undersea platforms?

Want to work in an organization that values your ideas, where projects may range from rapid prototypes to high reliability development, and where initiative in small team environments is encouraged?

If you are graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics and want to tackle problems using your knowledge of embedded systems or signal processing, we'd love to have you join our team!

We are seeking inquisitive engineers and mathematicians to take problems from algorithm to fielded prototypes in areas of contested navigation, hypersonic re-entry, and long-range missile technologies. You will join a team with experts in navigation, signal processing, and hardware design, and contribute signal processing knowledge to investigate and solve real design challenges, continuously improving on the state of the art.

As a signal processing engineer you will...

  • Design and implement sophisticated signal processing algorithms for various types of communication, telemetry, and radio navigation signals
  • Dig deep to analyze signals collected from real-world environments and experimental tests
  • Make meaningful contributions as you deploy your algorithms and concepts to prototype systems
  • Collaborate to test and demonstrate systems in live field tests

Qualifications

You will meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Are knowledgeable in linear, discrete signal and random signal systems
  • Are proficient in MATLAB, C++, or Python
  • Have strong communication skills and effectively connect with technical team members and leaders
  • Are collaborative and passionate about learning
  • Are willing and able to support travel of an average of three weeks per year
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have...
  • Have studied digital design, digital signal processing, or communications engineering
  • Have experience implementing algorithms with hardware platforms or embedded systems
  • Have intern experience related to one or more of the items described above
