Overview
Ensures the safe operation of assigned facilities.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and addresses General Affairs Facilities Work Queue on a daily basis.
- Coordinates and oversees safe, secure and operationally sound facilities in cost effective manner.
- Arranges preventative maintenance as per contract; e.g. HVAC; fire alarm and extinguishers.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed; e.g. inspected of light fixtures, ceiling tiles, HVAC; exterior lighting and landscaping.
- Perform minor electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and painting repairs.
- Assemble, disassemble, move, and store systems furniture and other furniture items as necessary.- Maintains inventory of excess furniture for re-use within company facilities.
- Maintains building and its support systems to ensure efficient functionality.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Maintains general safety and security.
- Maintains security access and alarm system s to ensure safety.
- Ensures recycling guidelines are addressed.
- Monitors facilities' access/alarms.
- Maintains appearance and environment of facilities.
- Coordinates space utilization.
- Sorts and delivers mail and packages.
- Works with various departments on moving pallets, equipment, paper boxes and large rolls.
- Responsible for finding the most cost effective method of shipping.
- Maintains and logs warehouse inventory.

Would work with the supervisor to:
- Arranges preventative maintenance as per contract, e.g., HVAC, fire alarm and extinguishers.
- Maintains inventory of excess furniture for re-use within company facilities.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety requirements
- Monitors facilities' access/alarms
- Coordinates space utilization
Qualifications
HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus less than one year of related experience.
- Experience using a fork lift and pallet jack.
- Experience shipping/receiving with Fedx.
- Experience with international shipping.
- Ability to work during non-business hours, as needed.
- Must be pro-active in issue resolution.
- Must be able to read blue prints.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task.
- Must have an understanding of systems and furniture.
- Microsoft Office knowledge; Visio experience is a plus.
- Must be able to operate a fork lift and pallet jack.
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be in a mobile activity more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling)
- Ability to work in hot or cold conditions
